“After Kamlesh Tiwari, you are next in Noida,” the letter read.
Upon receiving the letter, Amit Jani called police to his home. He also filed an FIR at the Noida Sector 20 police station.
The letter is now in possession of the police who are further investigating the matter. There was no address written on the sealed envelope.
Meanwhile, the police have asked Amit Jani to stay alert. No arrests have been so far.
Kamlesh Tiwari murder
On October 18, Kamlesh Tiwari was stabbed multiple times and his throat was slit at his home in Lucknow’s Khursheda Bagh. He was also shot by the two perpetrators.
The attackers, wearing saffron clothes, walked into Tiwari’s office in Khurshid Bagh area on the pretext of handing over a box of sweets. They hid their guns in the sweet box.
Soon after walking in, the assailants opened the box, took out the firearm and sprayed bullets on Kamlesh Tiwari, slashed his throat and fled.
The Uttar Pradesh Police said five persons, including three from Surat, have been arrested in connection with the killing. However, Ashfaq and Moinuddin, who allegedly executed the crime are still at large.
